And then we did something crazier. We sold our house, and our family of 4 hit the road. Well, 5 if you count Regi the Hedgie - you'll meet her later though.

My name is Mel, and this is my family's adventure. Our bucket list. Our life.

 

I'm a Nurse working in palliative hospice care and a mom of two amazing boys. Occasionally my partner Doug and I have long discussions on life, living well and death. One day we were talking about what we would want to do if we knew we had only months or years left. I shared that buying an RV and packing it up with the family to travel across Canada would be a good way to spend these final moments. And then Doug asked me, why wait?

Fast forward a few years, and life handed us a big bowl of change - struggles with physical and emotional health, and tragic losses in the family really shook us to our core. Life threw us change, and rather than focus on what was, we thought we'd focus on what we have, and what could be. So join us on our journey. We'll need your support - your love and your encouragement - every step of the way.

So not only are we hitting the road in an RV for 90 days we have also challenged ourselves to raise $1 for every Kilometer traveled in support of our local hospice.
